CMS is a licensed marketing agent and currently markets about 23% of the Kenyan production. We participate in the Kenyan coffee auction where high quality coffees our coffees have been fetching the best prices. In addition, we draw synergies from our global partner network, linking producers to coffee buyers overseas for direct sale of coffee, fetching the best prices for the coffee farmers.

We link producers to financial institutions and facilitate pre-financing of services and loans, thus easing access to farm inputs and post-harvest finance.

With our highly skilled and experienced agronomists, CMS organises and conducts farmers’ training sessions and programs, having more than 100 demonstration plots. CMS has published the ‘COFFEE: Sustainable Farming Handbook’. A comprehensive guide to the coffee farming practices towards high quality yields and financial management.

Using its pool of experts, CMS manages various projects throughout the coffee growing regions in partners with a wide range of stakeholders including roasters, donor agencies and governments. The project objectives range from enhancing productivity and quality and certification to improving market access. CMS also has qualified lead experts recognised by the national Environmental Management Agency (NEMA) who undertake environmental Impact Assessment EIA and audits.
